Bleach Movie 2 - The Diamond Dust Rebellion

An artifact known as the "King's Seal" is stolen during transport from Soul Society by an unidentified Soul Reaper and two arrancar girls who control fire and lightning. Tōshirō Hitsugaya seems to recognize the Soul Reaper, who stabs him in the stomach, and abandons his post to pursue him. Seireitei suspects him of treason and orders his immediate capture, with the possibility of disbanding the 10th Division should he be guilty.

Tōshirō is found unconscious by Ichigo, who knows that Soul Society is looking for him. Tōshirō refuses to explain what's happening, but Ichigo is attacked by the two arrancar before he can force the issue. Tōshirō continues to avoid capture, and things only look worse when the Soul Reaper thief, identified as Sōjirō Kusaka, uses Hitsugaya's Hyōrinmaru to injure Shunsui Kyōraku. Tōshirō's capture is made top priority, and his execution is approved if he resists.

Tōshirō eventually manages to track Sōjirō down, where it is revealed that the two managed to manifest the same zanpakutō. Because this is a taboo in Soul Society, they were forced to fight to the death. Tōshirō did not wish to but accidentally froze Kusaka in the fight. It was decided that Tōshirō was winner while Sōjirō was apparently killed, only to reincarnate in Hueco Mundo. Seeking revenge on Soul Society, he stole the King's Seal, which allows the user to freely manipulate time, space, and matter within a small space. Using it, Sōjirō teleports Tōshirō and himself to Soul Society, needing the power of Tōshirō's bankai to break the seal. When Tōshirō refuses, Sōjirō breaks the seal himself, becoming a dragon made of ice. However, because he lacks the control Tōshirō possesses, the power goes berserk and threatens to destroy Soul Society. With much help, Ichigo and Tōshirō manage to destroy Sōjirō's dragon form. Returned to his regular form, Sōjirō and Tōshirō have one last clash, ending in Sōjirō's defeat. Tōshirō is cleared of all charges and the King's Seal is restored, allowing Tōshirō to finally put his past to rest.

Angel Sanctuary (天使禁猟区, Tenshi Kinryōku?) is a manga and anime series created by Kaori Yuki. This 20-volume series was originally serialized in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume. The manga was adapted as a three-episode OVA series that loosely covers the first story arc; it was intended to be an introduction to the manga rather than a complete story, and thus ends on an abrupt cliffhanger. Both the manga and anime feature mature content. A series of drama CDs based on the other story arcs was also released.

Angel Sanctuary is one of Kaori Yuki's most celebrated works. Among other things, it discusses the morality of incestuous relationships, the nature of God, and other philosophical topics. North American distribution rights of the anime have been rescued from Central Park Media by Media Blasters (2007).

Ef - A Tale of Two

The anime revolves around two protagonists, Hirono Hiro and Asou Renji. On Christmas Eve, Hirono Hiro meets a girl named Miyamura Miyako who was chasing a purse snatcher. Hiro later finds out that Miyako also goes to the same school as he does and they start hanging out together. This made Hiro's childhood friend, Shindou Kei, feel left out. Kei then tries to compete with Miyako for Hiro's affection and a love triangle ensues. The anime also tells the story of Asou Renji. Renji meets a girl named Shindou Chihiro at an abandoned train station. He soon learns that Chihiro suffers from a type of amnesia where her memory span only lasts for 13 hours. He also discovers Chihiro's dream of writing a novel, but she has never been able to fulfill that dream due to her condition. Renji then decides to help her fulfill that dream.

I'm Back! (ThankGod!)

First of all, I want to apologize for not updating this blog as well as being MIA (missing in action) from the past few weeks...I'm really sorry for it, its because my ISP got some error so eventually it affected my internet connection thus cutting me off from the cyberworld. But thank God now its fixed up and I'll be able to update this blog once again. During my few weeks of being MIA, I had bought copies of certain anime titles which is for my personal collection which really kept me somehow occupied while waiting for my internet connection to be fixed.

Death Note

Light Yagami is an extremely intelligent young man who resents the crime and corruption in the world. His life undergoes a drastic change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground in the year 2003. The Death Note's instructions claim that if a human's name is written within it that person shall die. Light is initially skeptical of the Death Note's authenticity, believing it is just a prank. However, after experimenting with it and killing two criminals, Light is forced to admit that the Death Note is real. After meeting with the previous owner of the Death Note, a shinigami named Ryuk, Light seeks to become "the God of the new world" by passing his judgment on criminals.

Soon, the number of inexplicable deaths of reported criminals catches the attention of the International Police Organization and a mysterious detective known only as "L". L quickly learns that the serial killer, dubbed by the public as "Kira" (derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the word "Killer"), is located in Japan. L also concludes that Kira can kill people without laying a finger on them. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a game of psychological cat and mouse between the two begins.

Dattebayo & other fansubb group at Otakon

Join Dattebayo, along with Live-Evil and other fansubbers, as we engage in a new format panel at Otakon 2008 in Baltimore this weekend.

This year, representatives of Dattebayo, along with staff from several other fansubbing groups, will engage in a live, moderated discussion with anime industry staff Lance Heiskell, Director of Marketing at FUNimation, and John Sirabella, CEO of Media Blasters, about fansubbing.

This new format panel will be the one of the only times industry personnel and fansubbing staff have engaged in a public discussion about anime. We think it will be interesting and well worth your time at the convention.

The panel takes place at Otakon 2008 on Saturday August 9 at 5:30 PM in panel room 4 and is scheduled to run an hour and a half. There will be a period of time allotted for questions and answers.

Futari Ecchi (ふたりエッチ, Futari Ecchi?), also known as Manga Sutra, Step Up Love Story, or Manga Love Story, is a manga series by Katsu Aki. Futari Ecchi is a story about a newlywed couple in their mid-twenties, both virgins when they married. The story chronicles their sexual explorations. The manga combines pornographic elements with factual and informative statistics. The title Futari Ecchi ("two person ecchi") is a play on a slang term for masturbation, hitori ecchi ("single person ecchi"). A four-episode anime OVA series was produced in 2002 and 2003. Two issues are set around the sexuality of women, called "Futari Ecchi for Ladies" and an artbook with the title "Yura Yura".

Just at that moment, a fierce battle between Dialga and Palkia is unfolding in an interval of space-time. Space-time is torn apart by the collision of terrible energies. Through the tear, Alamos Town can be seen...

The whole of Alamos Town is wrapped in an ominous fog, and a mysterious phenomenon arises where the people are unable to leave the town. Then, Tonio, who has become aware of the abnormal space-time phenomena, hastily analyzes the data, and discovers that the devastation of the garden was a sign that Palkia had entered the town. Full Metal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shambala

The movie's story is set two years after the events of the Fullmetal Alchemist TV series's last episode. Dragged from his homeworld of Amestris to this world, Earth, Edward Elric lives in Munich, Germany, in the year 1923. Stripped of his alchemical powers and some of his limbs, but not the attachments for his automail (from his previous journey through the Gate), he has spent all this time researching rocketry together with Alphons Heiderich, a young man who resembles his own brother.

In the movie, Earth is a parallel world to Amestris, and as a result Edward encounters many people whose faces are familiar to him. After rescuing and talking to Noa, a troubled gypsy woman, Edward is thrown into a series of events that reveal a path back to his homeworld along with a conspiracy that threatens both worlds.

Unaware of Edward's situation, Alphonse Elric ventures deeper into the mysteries of alchemy in search of a way to reunite with his older brother.

The movie is set against the backdrop of the depression and economic collapse of Germany after World War I and the formation of the Nazi Party, notably the events leading up to and including the Beer Hall Putsch of 1923. The antagonists frequently make references to it, though the actual event and its key real-life figures (including Adolf Hitler) and its aftermath are only shown in fleeting shots

Death Note Movie 2

The second film continues the events from the first movie, and uses plot elements from the Yotsuba arc as well as the series' ending. The role of Higuchi is replaced by Takada, who is eventually captured as Higuchi is in the manga. Light kills Takada to regain ownership of his Death Note. Light then manipulates the investigation towards Misa, forcing Rem to kill L and Watari. As L is dying, Light admits to him that he is Kira. However, it is revealed later that L faked his death. L had already written his own name in Misa's Death Note (replacing the Note with a fake copy), setting his death for the maximum of 23 days, thus overriding Rem's Death Note. The investigation team surrounds Light, shooting him when he attempts to write on the hidden piece of Death Note in his watch. In a final gambit, Light asks Ryuk to kill the investigation team, but Ryuk writes down Light's name instead.

Light dies in his father's arms. L obtains possession of both the Death Notes and burns them. Twenty days later, he dies a peaceful death after being congratulated by Soichiro. Soichiro agrees to not tell his family that Light was really Kira. The film concludes with events that take place one year later. The Yagami family visits Light's gravesite. Sayu reveals her belief that he died in the fight against Kira and Soichiro hopes only that she would never find out the truth. Misa wonders about the gaps in her memory, unable to remember something important about Light. Ryuk, still in the real world, flies past Tokyo Tower.

Death Note Movie 1

In the climax of the film, Misora kidnaps Shiori and asks Light to come to the art museum and confess that he really is Kira if he wants to save her. He goes to the museum, but denies that he was Kira, and said that he is upset at seeing his girlfriend being taken hostage. Misora told Light that unless he started to write her real name, which was "Naomi" written in katakana, she would kill Shiori. Light adamantly insists that he is not Kira. Soichiro, upon seeing this, sends the police. Misora immediately becomes upset and distracted, allowing Light's girlfriend to break free and run away from her. Misora fires her gun and shoots Shiori, who dies in Light's arms shortly afterward, and then afterwards commits suicide by shooting herself.

Later, Ryuk finds that Light had actually engineered Naomi's death using the Death Note, as he had already found out her name by checking with the church since she revealed to him she was Iwamatsu's fiancée and he reasoned that nobody would use a fake name in marriage and written a scenario whereby Misora would commit suicide after shooting Shiori. Obviously, Ryuk was confused, as by doing this Light would end up killing her, but Light reveals that he had written her name in the Death Note as well, which shocked Ryuk. When questioned by him, Light gives no certain answer and implies that he was not certain if he had even loved her. Using these events to foster hatred for Kira, he asked to join the investigation team when his father checked on him. While Soichiro is slightly reluctant, L immediately grants his wish.

One day, two new families move next door to a boy who had previously been living a very peaceful life. In one house lived the family of the King of the Gods, and in the other lived the family of the King of the Demons. Both families had one daughter whose single wish to live next to the boy they had fallen in love with years ago has just been fulfilled. Also living with the boy is his childhood friend. With these three girls vying for his affections, the boy finds that his new life filled with despair, jealousy, and just a little hope is beginning.

Slam Dunk Manga

Slam Dunk (スラムダンク, Suramu Danku^?) is a 31-volume, 24-Kanzenban manga and anime series written by Takehiko Inoue about a basketball team from Shohoku (Shōhoku) High School. It was first published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in Japan and has sold over 100 million copies in Japan alone. In 1995, it received the Shogakukan Manga Award for shōnen and in 2007 was declared Japan's favorite manga.

It was so popular that many Japanese teenagers began playing basketball after it was published.

The anime series, consisting of 101 episodes, was produced by the TV Asahi terrestrial television network and Toei Animation and directed by Nobutaka Nishizawa. It was first aired on TV Asahi from October 16, 1993 to March 23, 1996. It was later aired on the anime satellite television network, Animax, in addition to four animated movies produced. The anime series follows the manga storyline, but leaves out the National Tournament games. The animated movies are separate stand-alone stories.

The manga was originally licensed in North America to the now-defunct Gutsoon! Entertainment and serialized in Raijin Comics during 2003 and 2004 before Gutsoon folded. The license has since been picked up by VIZ Media, who confirmed at Comic Con International 2007 that will start publishing the series in September 2008. A preview of the series was published in the December 2007 issue of Shonen Jump^[4] It was also stated in the April 2008 issue that starting in the next issue, the series would appear in the monthly lineup. Another English version has been published in Singapore by Chuang Yi.

Bleach The Blade of Fate

Bleach The Blade of Fate is an Nintendo Dual Screen (NDS) fighting game in the Street Fighter style that lets you lock swords with the characters from the Bleach comic book and animated series. Fans of the Bleach universe will be thrilled to discover that the game totally captures the characters' personalities and their unique attack moves. However, Blade of Fate isn't strictly for the fans. It's a superb fighting game in its own right and should appeal to anyone who enjoys the genre, especially those who have fond memories of playing games like Samurai Shodown and The Last Blade down at the local arcade.

Words Worth

In ancient times, the words worth tablet-a huge monolith slab inscribed with the secrets of the universe—was sundered by dark forces. The Tribes of Light (which consists of humans living on the world's surface) and Shadow (mostly part humans, part animals or monsters living in an underground city, who also seem to age at half the normal speed of the Light tribe) blame each other for the tablet's destruction and have been waging a merciless war for centuries. While directing his forces against the most recent incursions of the Light army, the current king of the Shadow tribe, Wortoshika is also painstakingly reassembling the Words Worth tablet to find out its secret. He also actively prevents Prince Astral, his son, from becoming a licensed swordsman because of a prophecy that only one who is of both Light and Shadow may read the words on the tablet.

Plot:

Peace Maker Kurogane

PLOT:

The story is focused on the main character, Ichimura Tetsunosuke, an energetic, short, and very childlike 15 year old. Sadly, he and his older brother (Tatsunosuke) are left to fend for themselves after the vicious murder of their parents. While Tetsunosuke wants to get revenge, his pacifist brother is not so inclined. 'Tatsu' happens to join a street gang dubbed the Shinsengumi, as an accountant, to earn a living, ironically the organization 'Tetsu' wishes to join as a soldier to seek his revenge. This is where the story truly develops during 'Tetsu's' trials and tribulations as a struggling page craving redemption. He develops relationships with all the legendary members of the Shinsengumi army helping them with their various struggles as he constantly battles his own against himself. The story comes to fruition as 'Tetsu' discovers himself and the overwhelming responsibility the power he is searching for holds.
